Welford-On-Avon Primary School is seeking a supplier to provide professional cleaning services for its site near Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire. The school caters for Nursery through to Year 6, with approximately 270 pupils, 35 staff, and a total site area of 1,501.46 m².
The contract carries an approximate annual value of £50,000 and will run for an initial term of three years (1 August 2026 – 31 July 2029), with an option to extend by a further three years by mutual agreement. It will operate on a guaranteed performance basis, offering a fixed annual return and/or subsidy.
The current cleaning provision consists of three evening-shift cleaners, one of whom holds the Site Manager role. As part of this new contract, the school wishes to incorporate the Site Manager function into the cleaning arrangement. This will encompass site opening and closing responsibilities, alongside standard site management and maintenance duties, with full details to be outlined in the formal tender documentation.
The school is open to reviewing its current cleaning hours and encourages tenderers to propose innovative and efficient approaches that could deliver improved value or service quality.
