Leicester College invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced specialist contractors for the provision of kitchen ductwork and extraction system cleaning services across its Freemen’s Park Campus and Abbey Park Campus in Leicester.
The contract requires the full cleaning of grease extract ductwork, kitchen canopies, extraction fans, and associated ventilation plant at all catering and teaching kitchen facilities operated by the College. All works must be carried out in accordance with BESA TR19 — Grease: Guide to Good Practice for the Design, Installation, Verification and Maintenance of Kitchen Ventilation Systems, and must comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
The successful contractor will be responsible for the pre-clean assessment of grease accumulation levels, the execution of all cleaning works, the installation of access panels where required to achieve TR19-compliant inspection intervals, the safe removal and disposal of all grease waste under a valid waste carrier licence, and the production of post-clean TR19 Inspection and Cleaning Verification Reports for each system. All documentation must be delivered within five working days of completing each system.
The contract is anticipated to run for an initial period of 12 months with options to extend for up to two further annual periods, subject to satisfactory performance.
